Fantasy Baseball: Yahoo to the Rescue

A big High Five goes out to Yahoo! for their quick response today. I'm in a winner's league where a poor loser decided he'd had enough of his poor performing team and dumped everyone onto the waiver wire. I think that's an extremely crappy move, and can really destroy a league. A few of us contacted the Yahoo! help desk, who quickly and swiftly restored the offending team's roster. We're not sure if that owner is locked out of roster moves/transactions, but initial guesses are that he is. Thanks, Yahoo.

  • wow, that never happens.... ive had similar problems and other not so similar problems in that arena that yahoo completely crapped all over... one time i had money on a weekly football pickem, and the tiebreaker according to the rules on the site was enacted incorrectly, taking the win and the money away from me... i took much time and effort to show how the logic of their rulebreaker meant it should have been done to make me win, but they just didn't care!

  • Yeah, and if you look at their elibility rules, they have it misstated as "Each number displayed is a count-down, so for instance, "5" means "five games remaining to gain eligibility.""

That is exactly wrong - otherwise nearly every player would have a "5" under every position they haven't played, right? And just a head's up - Ty Wiggington is pretty close to getting 2B eligibility. That may be an interesting situation for larger leagues.

  • yeah, it just takes a really immature person to drop their whole team... i think the motivation is that by dropping their whole team they get way more attention than if their team just slowly fades away...
